Baked salmon with lemon and herbs

Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 1 lemon (sliced thinly)
  • 2-3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2-3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano (or 1 tablespoon fresh oregano, chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme (or 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Prepare the Baking Dish: Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

  3. Season the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Place them in the baking dish. Drizzle the olive oil over the fillets. Sprinkle with minced garlic, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper.

  4. Add Lemon: Place a few lemon slices on top of each fillet. You can also arrange some lemon slices around the salmon in the baking dish for extra flavor.

  5. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork. The exact cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.

  6. Garnish (Optional): If desired, garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

  7. Serve: Serve the salmon with your choice of sides, such as roasted vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad.

Enjoy your flavorful and healthy baked salmon!
